Please, take our short survey here. For every artist, maker, and creative type that completes our survey, we'll donate $1 to Memorialize The Movement. Our goal is to donate $1,000. Can you help us reach our goal?? Can you share our survey with a friend or two?!? :) :) Thank you for your time, your valuable opinions, and for your support. 📸: Memorialize The Movement

Art-A-Whirl 2021 Update

With our survey currently circling, we’ve decided a boots-on-the-ground approach will be the most constructive way to tackle Art-A-Whirl 2021. We will not be hosting our backyard tie-dye event as tentatively planned, and we look forward to mingling with you all out there in the ‘wild’😉!!

What’s Happening in Our Nervous Systems?

We found this podcast to be very helpful and informative: The pandemic has disrupted our mind-body connection, which is always as sensitive to what is imagined as to what is real. This disruption became the shaky foundation on which we have each had to carry all of the other events and losses and traumas that have followed over the past year. Clinical Psychologist Christine explains how the very first news of the threat of a new virus in the world instantaneously activated our stress responses, sent our nervous systems into an overdrive from which they’ve never retreated. And, how what we’re feeling is a normal response to incredibly unfamiliar, unusual, unpredictable, uncontrollable circumstances.

Volunteer with Memorialize The Movement

From May 21st - May 23rd Memorialize The Movement and their partners will be hosting a public art exhibit showcasing the plywood murals that have been collected since the murder of George Floyd last May. We need YOUR help making sure this exhibition runs smoothly. We will need people to manage the flow of attendees, monitor the exhibit, and help with running the programming. Please sign-up for a shift, invite your friends, and share. We appreciate your support! Sign up here.
